With the National lockdown continuing after the Spring half term break, Zoom meetings had to continue. The Leadership team organised a series of weekly meetings to encompass all of the elements of the Disability Awareness Badge. The Beavers learnt about different types of disabilities and the Paralympic Games; they watched videos featuring children with disabilities; they drew pictures whilst blindfolded; and they learnt how to sign the Beaver Promise. David Fraser, a former Beaver parent, talked to both Colonies online about his life in a wheelchair following a serious motor cycle accident. Finally, we arranged for Rob Trent, a disabled artist, to give an online demonstration to the Beavers of his mouth painting. The following photographs showcase the Beavers’ mouth painting masterpieces.
